Oppose Alfreton Road Incinerator

Help us STOP the incinerator

SUCCESS! We have succeeded in stopping the incinerator, BUT …

MONEY STILL NEEDED to pay for legal costs to reach the campaign’s conclusion

Total raised for campaign £17669

£22600

Latest developments - June 2018

As some of you will be aware, the company Envirofusion has vacated the premises on Alfreton Road. Whilst this may look promising, the state of play does not alter at all; as the planning permission is attached to the land, not the company, and is therefore still in place to allow a test incinerator to be built.

With Envirofusion leaving the site, it doesn’t stop the development still going ahead under different circumstances.

Therefore, the ‘Oppose Alfreton Road Incinerator’ (OARI) campaign continues to challenge - through the Courts - the planning permission for the incinerator site; as we always have done. We must carry on raising funds to do this; we have a final fundraising goal and you could help us reach this!

We need to raise urgently a further £6000 to pay for legal fees to allow us to continue this fight to its conclusion

We’re asking businesses, residents, groups and clubs for support – we know many of you have already donated, but we need a final push.

Just £10 per person or £100 per business wouldn’t take long to raise this last amount - if 350 people and 25 businesses did this, we’d achieve our goal!

PLEASE, donate what you can, all details for payment can be found on this website

Thank you

The money shown on the Go Fund Me page is still being used to pay the experts who have helped us so far, but we are now raising a new amount for the next steps. Thank you to all who donated then, now and in the near future!
